LIFE Ltd and the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Sunrise jointly held the first Cayman Islands “Scrabble Scrum” competition to raise funds for LIFE’s literacy intervention programmes which have benefited hundreds of school students over the past couple of years.

The event involved sponsored teams of five or six people from some of Cayman's biggest financial and legal companies gathering around a standard Scrabble game board, using a limited amount of time to fill the board with high-scoring words.

The team from KPMG Cayman were the worthy champions on the day, with the teams from Carey Olsen and Campbells coming in second and third place respectively.

The event was a great success and raised almost CI$7,000 for LIFE's literacy programmes.
